Electric car running cost
Efficiency is wall-to-wheel, so charging losses are already in the kWh figure. The public price and the gas price are examples. Replace them with the prices where you charge and fill up.

About the Tesla Cybertruck and its energy use
The Cybertruck is a large electric pickup. EPA lists about 42.9 kWh per 100 miles in 2026, the highest figure of any Tesla, and about 75 percent more than a Model 3 Premium RWD.
The EPA time to charge from empty on a 240 volt connection is 11.7 hours. If you tow or haul, expect energy use per mile to rise above the EPA figure, so a long trip with a trailer costs more than the table suggests.

If you use public fast chargers
Public fast charging prices are set by each network and change with the place and the time. Check the price on the charger or in the app. This table shows what the Tesla Cybertruck would cost per mile at four example prices, compared with charging at home at the US average.
| Price per kWh | Cents per mile | 1,000 miles | Versus home at US average |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.30 | 12.9 | $129 | 1.7 times |
| $0.45 | 19.3 | $193 | 2.6 times |
| $0.60 | 25.7 | $257 | 3.5 times |
| $0.75 | 32.2 | $322 | 4.4 times |

Break-even gas price
| Where you charge | 25 mpg car | 30 mpg car | 35 mpg car | 40 mpg car |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| North Dakota price | $1.27 a gallon | $1.52 a gallon | $1.77 a gallon | $2.03 a gallon |
| US average price | $1.85 a gallon | $2.22 a gallon | $2.59 a gallon | $2.96 a gallon |
| Hawaii price | $4.33 a gallon | $5.20 a gallon | $6.07 a gallon | $6.93 a gallon |
If gas where you live costs more than the figure in the table, charging at home costs less per mile than driving a gas car with that fuel economy. If gas costs less, the gas car is cheaper per mile on fuel alone.
How we calculate it
Cost per mile is the EPA kWh per 100 miles, divided by 100, times the price per kWh. EPA measures efficiency at the wall, so charging losses are already inside the figure. Real efficiency changes with speed, temperature, tires and load, so use the EV charging cost calculator with your own numbers.
Tesla Cybertruck charging cost questions
How much does it cost to charge a Tesla Cybertruck?
At about 42.9 kWh per 100 miles, 1,000 miles uses about 429 kWh. Multiply by your price per kWh, or use the tables on this page.
Is a Cybertruck cheaper to run than a gas pickup?
It depends on your electricity price and on gas prices. The break-even gas price shown on this page tells you the price per gallon at which a gas truck of a given mpg costs the same per mile.
How much does it cost to drive Tesla Cybertruck 100 miles?
At about 42.9 kWh per 100 miles and the 2025 US average price of 17.23 cents per kWh, 100 miles costs about $7.39 when you charge at home.
How much does a full charge cost for Tesla Cybertruck?
Driving the full EPA range of 325 miles takes about 139 kWh from the wall for the AWD trim, which costs about $24 at the 2025 US average price. You rarely charge from empty, so most sessions cost much less.
