How the site is funded today
Today the site is funded by its publisher. It has no sponsors, no paid placements and no affiliate relationships. We may add them later, and this page will change before we do.
The rules if we add ads or affiliate links
- Labeled. A link that earns us money will say so next to the link, and it will be marked as sponsored in the page code.
- Separate from data. Prices, bills, rankings and figures come from public data. Payments cannot change them.
- No pay-to-rank. Where we compare options, we explain the method, and payments do not move an option up or down.
- Only relevant offers. We will not show offers that do not fit the page.
- Your privacy. We will update the privacy policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.
Independence
Kilowatt Atlas is not owned by, and does not act for, any utility, regulator or energy supplier. Our editorial policy applies to every page, whether or not it carries an ad.
